I have a rear pipe bumper "Ranch hand"

it has a rear horizontal pipe with a small sheet metal skirt that gets larger to the hitch.

The bed step mounts to the factory 45* bracket for the bumper, thus there absolutely nothing for the step to mount to as designed.

Any basic thoughts to fab up something to attach it. I got a welder and all tools (minus a plasma). i just need it very sturdy, as i will use it many time each day.

Thanks

I have a Reunel bumper that I want to mount the BedStep to.

I am going to cut off the section of the oem bumber that the BedStep is supposed to attach to and then mount it to the where the Reunel bolts to the frame.

Since I have a camper shell with side swing doors, I need the BedStep to mount on the INSIDE of the frame so that it is closer to the center of the truck where the doors are. I am pretty sure that some fabrication will be involved, but since I have acces to the pieces that the BedStep mounts to from the oem bumper , I think fabrication wil be minimal.

Won't get around to doing until the dead of winter, so can't help you much more then that.

Actaully, I MIGHT be able to help you out, since I am cutting off one side of my oem bumper to use, I could likely get you the other side that the BedStep mounts to.

BUT I don't know when I wil be able to get around to checking which side I need to use and which I might be able to send you. Might be 4 to 6 weeks before I have time.
