Not pulled the entire motor, but I've installed a cam which required pulling the bolts on the motor mounts and lifting it up.

Definately remove the bumper... it's only 4 bolts.

Cheers on the extra soft driver seat and the extended range fuel tank!!!

The 3rd gen trucks have that goofy support bar held in by 8 bolts. I usually cut it then weld it back in place after the job.

I noted the H1 CTD in your sig before, but missed out if there had been any discussion about it or any pics. Guess I thought space for a GM V-8 might not be happy with a big six. Care to share?

i cut the front support brace, i cut it and left only the ends that support the intercooler mounts and just bolted the ends back in, definitely lose the bumper, its fast and easy

you do know a new roof can be welded on to fix a rollover, heck back in my salvage car days we even used to weld on a new front or back half to the car, normally cut the car in half right under the drivers seat then cut the roof pillar right above the fire wall in front. weld it all back up and your done, my dad still has a car that was fixed this way, unibody construction of course.
