Not a bolt on swap

I looked into it for my 97,and the axle tube ends are totally different. Now... if you wanted to reweld on the new axle tube ends... then maybe. I don't know if the axles are different or not.

Brake broke

I can't help you with your exact question but I did read something the other night about possibly swapping the rear wheel cylinders with a one ton. I think I read you have a one ton but when I called my local dealer today to ask the brake question for myself I found out that three wheel cylinders were available for the '93 three quarter and one ton. One has a 7/8" piston, the next a 1" and the third a 1 1/8" piston. Both the 1" and 1 1/8" were available on the one ton. Cost from the local dealer was about $41. 00 per wheel cylinder. Also, allot of the 3/4 tons had 2 1/2" rear shoes. Most of the drums will accept 3" shoes. It is an offset shoe available from the dealer, about $50. 00. You do have to turn the drum all the way to the shoulder to make it work. This is not my opinion, my local dealer does this routinely, they told me about it and set mine up with the three inch brakes. I haven't swapped the wheel cylinders yet but it's on the list. If your just looking for more brakes I hope this helps. :D
