Just curious what that looks like.

I would like to go just a little bigger than a 285 in a quiet A/T tire and due to all the back orders on tires looks like a 315 is the next thing.

295 Nitto's would be nice but you can't buy em, 305's would do but I have never seen one in a quiet A/T.

i ran 315/75r16 on my 98 without a lift for a couple od days. didnt rub or anything it looked pretty good. now that i have a 4" lift they look small. i know i took some pics of it but im having trouble finding them. ill post if i can find one

Very nice looking truck!! Where did you get the fender flares? What kind are they? Did your fuel mpg go down going to 315's?

Thanks. The flares are Bushwacker Extend-a-Fender flares painted to match. I have had them so long I honestly don't remember where I got them..... one of the online 4X4 accessory sites. I noticed about a 1mpg drop on average with the 315s... ... maybe a tad more with city driving. 315s are well worth it I think. They give the truck a totally different look.

If you click on my readers rigs you'll see pictures of my truck with 315s on Eagle 102s. I've since added Bushwacker fender flares (just haven't added the pitures yet).

Thanks for the pics everyone... all the trucks look great!!

I found a quiet 33 that wasn't on national back order so no 315's this time.

StLouisMO- I like the engine paint treatment, any special prep on the manifold to help the paint stick?

I have a TC 2" level kit. I've added ATS Flares since I took these.

Did you have any vibration problems, after you installed the TC leveling kit?

By the way, nice looking truck, too!

Thanks!

If you call DEALTH WOBBLE a vibration problem... . the jury is still out as to why I had it ... . was it the lift or 315's to blame or both or something else?

Dodge Dakota ball joints mistakenly put on my Ram(an "off the record" reason by one of the techs... . hummm. . )? Anyhow, dealer replaced ball joints track bars, etc on warranty at 3k miles. No DW since.

Matt - I still had some rubbing with the 315's and the lift. Did some minor grinding on interior fender protector thingies and that took care of that.

If you aren't going to level the front you may want to see if you can sample the tire sizes before you "commit" if someone will give you that option.

C'mon, Matt, don't leave us hanging like that... what 33s?
Ok Ryan. . here is the final selection-

33x12. 50R17 Dick Cepek Fun Country II's, they should arrive Monday and I got them for 184. 00ea. mail order + 50. 00 shipping for the set.

The rims are Weld Evo Renegade 17x8. 5 with 5. 14 back space, they are shipping them with ring inserts that will make them hub centric.

420. 00 ea and 10. 00 ea for the inserts.

My guess is they will stick out 1 and 3/8" over stock so flares have also been ordered.

I toyed with the idea of the KORE wheels but these Renegade's were 600. 00 less as I found a deal on them plus the Cheyenne style is very popular in our area and I wanted to be different.

The tech department at Mickey Thompson says this tire's RPM is 618 so it must be a pretty big 33!

Might as well mention the rest. . my old 03 is going through some changes with my son being the new owner. The rear will not only get the OEM blocks put back but also an extra one of mine from the 05 as I am lowering the back again.

I haven't seen anyone do that yet. . maybe it will be a first for a 2" level in the front plus an extra . 62" in the rear.

He bought Cooper's new 35x12. 50R18 STT

and Eagle Alloys 114 18x9. 5 with 6 inch back space. He doesn't want flares and likes the look of the wheel sticking out.

Get a bunch of touch up paint! See post #8 on this thread I have 17x10's with this same wheel and you'll see how much rubber sticks out. I just put ATS flares on and still got the paint blasted on the gravel roads I was on last weekend. :{ Lots of nicks. Thinking about spraying lower panels with Rhino or something similar.
