I'm looking at buying a used EZ and also some used DDII's over the internet. Are there things that I should watch out for or ask about before purchasing? Any thing I need to do before installing used items mentioned? Any info would be aqppriciated. This will be my start to upgrading, have guages on the way and looking into transmission upgrades.

Unfortunately there are generally no guarantees with used equipment. I thought that Edge would honor their 1-year warrantee with a different owner. I sold a used EZ and I thought the warrantee was transferable if I recall that correctly – not sure. Anyway, if you check with Piers, he sometimes sells remanufactured EZ’s with full warrantee for less than new price. Sometimes paying a little more is worth it for some peace of mind and less hassles. Good to see you’re starting off right. Keep it up! :D

I believe I read on the Edge web site that as long as you have the original invoice there would be no problems getting it serviced as long as it was still in the warranty period. Sixpack:D

I have bought and sold several boxes and sets of injectors over the net. So far all have been good experiences except one, the product was not in the condition it was reported to be in and the bonehead would not let me send it back for a refund. He is not a member anymore.

You need to have a little faith to do it, and sticking with TDR members should help the odds a little. You CAN get burned, but the odds are pretty slim.

I just bought a set of injectors from a member and I am sending them to DD to be checked out before I put them in my truck. Its more of a piece of mind thing that any thing else. If you buy used injectors remember that you need to change the copper washer on the tip of the injector as they are only good once. You can get them at any Bosch Pump shop or from Cummins... I don't have the part number, but I need to find it.

How much are you saving???

That would be the question. If it's not at least half price I wouldn't bother. For a few bucks more get the piece of mind that comes with knowing you can get it swapped out if need be. Boxes just unplug, injectors are a process you wouldn't want to do too many times to get it right.

What's your price for piece of mind????
