I was looking for a review, test or some feedback on someone using the Smarty J67 on a STOCK 2010 CTD. Stock meaning all emissions and EGR in tact. Found nothing via Google.

Any Leeds or first hand feedback would be great.

I've had a Smarty Jr on my bone stock 2010 2500 for about a month and 1000 miles. I gained ~2mpg on my commute (depending on how I drive it). Throttle response is better, code reading and clearing is a nice option, and adjusting the speedo/odo for non-stock tires is a plus. I ran a Smarty for many years on my 2001 and never had an issue.

2 MPG hand calculated? Or by reading the OLM (Overhead Lie-O-Meter)? Smarty has an odd side effect that alters the OHL to read higher. Not intentionally, just a side effect. And if hand calculated, 2 MPG gain from what to what?

Sorry, been out of town. Yes, all hand calculated. I've run Mads stuff since it all began with the Catcher ECM, graduating to the Smarty for my 01 truck. I commute daily in the truck when I'm checking mileage. 65 miles round trip, about 1000' elevation change from 200' to 1200'. I went from 14. 5-ish (14 if I'm keeping 70mph, 15 if I'm staying under 65) to a little more than 16 average. I haven't run enough weeks of 65mph versus weeks of 70mph to tell you how much variation I'll get, but I have kept it near the 70mph average.

The OLM wasn't too accurate right off the lot (very similar to the 01) and every mod I did to the other truck had the same effect of making it worse! Any time you alter the timing, fueling, air/fuel readings the ECMs calculations go to crap since the amount of fuel/air the ECM THINKS you are letting is different than the amount that is actually getting in due to mods in the parameters introduced by the Smarty (or EZ or Comp or FMS in my experience)...
