anything semi-auto is very hard to get unless you want to pay a large sum of money for it
maybe now is the time to get rid of my Remington (742) jamomatic
My BIL owns and runs his own gunshop. I will pick it up later this spring, but we just got an AK and 1000 rounds ammo for $800. Was this a good price? We really didn't care what the price was, we just wanted to get something before it was too late.
a lower for 300 isn't to bad. Bushmaster sells their lower with everything in it for 300 and stripped for about 200. Or used to I should say. But, you can't even get any of those here. I've had to settle on getting pistols instead.

most ak's i seen at the shows were going for about $800. so thats not a bad deal. what brand ammo... wolf???
stripped AR lowers were are in shotgun news all the time.
One guy advertises them for $79. 00 or $89. 00.
I think that was Gunsmoke in Florida.
Of course that's before shipping and whatever your FFL wants to do the paperwork.
$800 for an AK. It depends on what brand. If it's one of those Century arms jobs, I'll pass.
I have an Arsenal AK. Milled reciever, Steyr hammer forged barrel. Oo. Oo.
It was more than $800 several years ago.
IIRC Arsenal halted all the milled recievers in favor of the stamped ones, so it may be worth a little more now.
The ammo sweetens the deal if it's of good quality. I've had one FTF out of many rounds of Wolf put down range with the AK and SKS's.
