Any side hoop steps, how are they installed? On Frame? I want to place hoops between the back passenger doors and the dually fenders. Can anyone suggest a manufacturer and how they did?

Is this to allow you to access the rear cargo bed?

If so I installed a product from Amp Research called the Bed Step 2. This is a foldable bed step, that is attached to the side of the truck right behind the rear cab doors. I have had this on my truck since 2013. Which was purchased from Geno's Garage; site sponsor. I also have the Bed Step at the tailgate for easier access to the bed from the rear.

I have attached a link to Amp research Bed Step 2 for you to review. http://www.amp-research.com/products/truckaccessories/bedstep2™/

Thanks much... yes this is for access to the bed. Although, I may be still confused on installation. Are most if not all steps attached to the frame rail or else where?
Thank again

My Bed Step 2 is mounted to the frame rail and is stabilized by the pick up box sheet metal. The instructions provided has a templet and instructions on how to mount the step.

If you are referring to the smaller hoop style steps that became popular in the 80's, I think, before the full length pipe "nerf" bars came onto the scene, those hoops mostly mounted into nothing but the body metal and caused some significant problems after a few years. Like torn and cracked floor pans and such. The best option I've seen for what your wanting is an extended length side step bar. They have 3 step pads on them. Haven't seen any in a while, but haven't had the need to look either.
