Any suggestions for steps for an 03 Quad Cab? My truck has 320,000 miles and runs great, and it's got a little rust, so I don't want to spend a lot, but want something decent. The 3x3 square tubing steps I made when the truck was new are getting really bad and dangerous and I need something else. I plan on running this truck as long as I can and just fixing what needs fixed. Thanks.

Where's the rust at? My 03 came with an old..... Lund set that's still holding up well. My truck was last registered in Alaska and Washington state prior to me in North Carolina. I have very minimal body rust, nothing anyone down here in the South would be afraid of.

If you don't want to break the bank I would honestly pull a set off a quad cab 1500 in a parts yard.

Thanks! Not a lot of rust, besides the over-the-rear-wheel wells where they all go. The inside bottom of the drivers side rocker panel has rust for about half the length along the bottom. Sometime in the past the guys spraying Fluid Film forgot to take the rubber plugs out and spray it in there. My fault too as I should have done it before I took the truck in. I plan on welding a strip of steel in there.

I may look at a parts yard. We have very few around here anymore.

Just a glance at some online stores 150s and up as far as running boards, I'd be warry of the cheaper ones though, hardware is probably where the set is skimped on and in a corrosive climate that's a perfect storm. I hate selling stuff on marketplace but I'd check there as well to see if there are any decent ones that you could adapt since you have a welder.

Local 4x4 forums with buy sell pages and swap-meets are a good source as well, wrecked jeeps and trail rigs that are getting parted out or something with a host of parts getting stripped to free up cash for a new build.
