Any more updates on the TAG from I think DPP in Pasco. I was thinking about getting one still. One question was about emmissions, can you tell a difference in exhaust smell, it seems the numbers I saw posted were quite a bit cleaner with the TAG.....

I installed one about a month ago. No specific numbers but I like it. Truck feels a little quicker, smoother. Hard to put your finger on just how much but fuel mileage has improved about 1/2 mpg.

I'd buy it again.

Tom

I have a TAG, it keeps excellent time, is water proof to 100 meters, and is very fashionable. I would recommend a TAG to anyone as a really nice Christmas gift.

Lawdog is it water resistant or waterproof? LOL

I have a Tag and like it. When I take it out my truck drives like it has a choked air cleaner. . . it's noticeably flat. It's one of those things you put in and drive awhile and doesn't seem that dramatic, but take it out and you'll notice right away your truck doesn't seem to be as perky.

In regard to the exhaust smell it seems a bit different but I haven't zoned in on that.

Vaughn

Vaughn got the model that comes pre-scented with pine needles. Makes your exhaust smell like a forest.

I don't have one, but plan to get one for sure.

I put 12,000 on with my TAG so far. It does help. Boosts up real quick. HAven't noticed smell or fuel savings but I would recommend it. I pull heavy loads and the boost is important to us that use the truck to capacity.

How's the install? It looks like it just snaps in???
The install is very simple. The boot on the turbo inlet is removed with the air intake. The TAG is inserted into the boot and reinstalled on the turbo inlet. We send instructions with pictures with the TAG and if you have any questions, just give us a call.

I haven't noticed any significant fuel savings, but the throttle response does seem a bit better. Of course it could be my imagination. I think I read you don't notice it much when you put it in, but if you take it out, you really miss it. Maybe this summer I'll give that a try.

I love my TAG. Noticed about 1 - 1. 5 mpg under a load, minimal empty. Definetly spins up faster and just seems to pull better at lower rpms. Dynoed it at Imler Diesel in Sacramento on his load dyno and showed no difference, up or down. All in all, I'd put one in another truck if I could. Love it!!

FYI - Drove from Gilroy, CA to Duncan, OK to Sacramento, CA with a homemade plywood camper shell. Went to Fall Classic to pick up pigs. On return run had about 2000# of pork in the back along with all our crap. Whole trip, cruise set at 80, got 18 mpg to Ok, 16. 5 back to CA. Love my TAG and Aeroturbine!

I put one on my truck about 5000 miles ago- I don't have quages so I don't know about the spool up, but I have seen some improved mileage with moderate loads. For the price, it is worth a try. They offer a guarantee and will stand behind it. Every seems to have so many different mods on thier trucks that some say they don't see much from the TAG while other say they have seen great improvements. I feel that anyone who has air flow mods will see more positive results since it aid in that area. I personally don't have an exhuast or air filter so I am one of the few who may not see a big diff in performance or mileage. It is very easy to install. I ain't given mine back!

I have been running a TAG unit for months now and continue to be very happy with the quicker turbo spool up... mileage increase is more noticable under load, but definately there.

The reason for this post is that I picked one up for my son for his 01 which has a Dr. Performance Phase II, Straight Exhaust and the big AFE. He said the quicker turbo spool up is very noticable and the truck "jumps" off the line even better than before. The new effect that I liked was that it made the "sucking sound" from the AFE (right in front of the passenger on the 01) much quieter.
