I can now suck my fuel pressure down to 0. 0 psi with the Juice turned off. Fresh fuel filter. Problem has gotten worse quickly. Took two days for me to go from low pressure, 2-3psi, to none on moderate accel. Pump is still warrantied so Anbany Chrysler gets to put the new one in. Problem is they don't know when they can get one. I'm not worried dabout the CP3 running with no lift pump for the very short term, however I don't want to get stranded with a stuck lift pump cutting off my fuel flow in a snow storm. Does anybody know of a temporary way to bypass the pump. I'm guessing all I need is a few connectors and a short piece of hose. Running w/o a lift pump beats the heck out of walking in this kind of weather.
I had to start the truck tonight and move it closer to the garage to plug it in. Temps are finally dropping like a rock tonight, supposed to hit 10*F either tonight or tomorrow I can't remember which. When I started the truck which had been facing a stiff 20-30mph headwind for abougt 4hrs and was good and cold, the fuel pressure gauge didn't move off 0psi. I let the truck run for 5-10mins while I putzed around and the gauge finally moved off the peg, barely.
