Anyone have carfax?

Not sure who's more entertaining... . Travis riding, or his mom freaking out every time he does something crazy.

He's gonna give that poor woman a Hart Attack. (get it?) :-laf

I hear he won his heat race in Daytona, then made a little supercross history by pulling a backflip over the finish-line jump. He didn't actually land it, but i hear it was pretty spectacular. I also hear the AMA gave him heck for doing it.

Yep, he won his qualifying race and then attempted a backflip for the 1st time that I know of on a thumper!

He was so fast through the whoops, it was amazing. He has the speed to race with the best and could win some races if he'd only focus on racing. He's the man on dirtbikes!

Here's a link to the story with a picture of the backflip.

BTW, my nephew and his family spent a week at his house! :--)

I deleted the post... after chatting with my buddy that was there, it wasn't Pastrana. It was Pastor.

Sorry for the confusion

Pastrana rock's! The first to do a no-handed landing and now to do a backflip over the finish line... ..... awesome! Probably worth the threat from the AMA! I have the Crusty Demon's of Dirt video with him in it. :-laf It show's him as a youngster, haulin' a@#, killing everyone in a race and he was like 8 or so! Born to ride, and at 13 started to do the no-hander!! AWESOME!! :D

Yeah, I watched the whole thing on Speed channel. What surprises me is the fact that people haven't tried(that I know of) to backflip a four stroke alot sooner. I mean, if its possible to backflip a 350lb. Yamaha YFZ450 quad(some guy in Minnesota does it for a living, seen it on the show Stunt Junkies on the Discovery channel. Can't remember his name, though), then its definetly possible to backflip a 450 four stroke dirtbike, especially since the newer 450 four strokes weigh somewhere close to the 250 two strokes.

I'd like to have seen that. Go Pastrana. Remember when he was riding 125's and trippled a set that no one, even the 250 class with McGrath was doing. Then McGrath started trippling the set but they were the only two doing it. I can't remember where but it was sweet.

No one can beat Pastrana except for himself.

He sure had an eventful time in Daytona, that's for sure. He crashed in the GNCC in the first corner and got a hole in a radiator, then worked his way up to 3rd or 4th then the bike gave up the ghost. He darn near qualified for the FLAT TRACK race! Then, at the supercross, his heat race was going well (in 2nd place) til he crashed in the whoops. Every time he was in the whoops, gaining on Tedesco, the crowd went crazy. But then he came back for the 2nd semi, and got 2nd place behind Chad Reed. It was great. I wish he wouldn't have crashed in the heat race. He must have been hurt, that's why he withdrew from the main. I'd like to have seen what he could've done in the main . Good stuff.

Incidently, here is the photo I have for my computer background:

I saw on Mototalk.com or Motodrive.com, Travis could not remember getting second place to Chad Reed so his crew did not let him go out for the final. This allowed Jason Thomas to race in the finial.

Wow! Seems like a justifiable reason to withdraw!

That's the truth!!

Whenever I watch him race, I just know he's going to crash soon and I'm usually right!

I can't believe I missed that race. I have my DVR set up to record and the last race I have was the Indy race then the Orlando race. I don't even show the race on the RacerX schedule.

They showed same day coverage from Daytona, Friday night race. They had both the 125 and 250(Supercross lites and Supercross   ). What stupid names for the different classes. Any way it was the best coverage so far this year. Travis was fast, till he fell witch is what always happens :( :(

I hate that they show the "lites" a week later. I don't understand why they can't do it like Daytona for every race.

It seems that TP's problem is that he only has two throttle postions when racing: Wide open or shut. He's sure fun to watch though.

The reason why they renamed the classes is because almost everyone in the 125 class is riding a 250 fourstroke, and almost everyone in the 250 class is riding a 450 fourstroke.

I understand the names of the classes needed to be changed, because of the 4 strokes, :{ :{ I just wish they came up with better names. I ALSO WISH ALL 4 STROKES WOULD GO AWAY :) :)

:( :( Dude, give one a chance! The torque is awesome. I assume you like torque, right (CTD) :D . Oh, and you can thank the PC crowd for the demise of the 2 stroke :( .

I'd rather have them on 4 strokes than 2 strokes. The 2 strokes will eventually no longer be made, so thats why the racing sanctioning bodies are doing this. Before you know, it, everyone in FMX will be riding a 4 stroke, too.
