I have a 600 on order. Called Wednesday and was told after a month that finally my truck is rolling down the assembly line (holdup was on DEE transmission).

Is there any way to check current status of my truck without calling DC Customer Service? I only know of the 800 number, but would be nice if there was a website where I could check more often. I was told once a week status is updated, so I have only been calling on Wednesdays for the last 5 weeks.

Done sold my old truck and I am going through severe diesel withdrawals. I walked out of Walmart today and stopped to smell the exhaust of a Powerstroke. I'm tellin ya, I got it BAD ;)

As a matter of fact, there is such a website.

You need your dealer's five position code, which he shouldn't mind giving you and the last eight ( I think) of your VIN or you can use your VON. If he wouldn't give you his code, have him check it and print out the screen for you. The code is shown on the screen. Found out that orders are keyed to the dealer code. Can't use one dealer's code to check a vehicle ordered at another dealer. I tried. Get an error message.

My dealer had never heard of this DB. I had to show the sales and general managers how to use it. Small town dealership. They sell the complete Ford line, the complete DC line and Toyota.

I can't seem to get this to work. I get to the screen where I enter my VON, but it takes me to a screen then where I can't really do anything else. Any ideas what's going on?

send me the number I will check the computer at work. p. s. if its here by the 31st I can get you ep price ,provided your dealer will sell for that.

Use the dealer 5 digit code and login to the Dealer Login, then select Vehicle Trace on the left. You can then enter the VIN and it will trace it for you.

It doesn't work for everyone. I have tried for weeks to get mine to come up and nada. Then last night I tried again and low and behold success!! All I can say to thosse who get nothing when they put in their data keep trying and sooner or later you'll get the info.

OK, now that I've been able to get some order info, can someone tell me what it means: I have a VIN and it's being built in Saltillo, but it says: "gateline schedule" which I have no clue what it means. There are no plant or carrier holds and also no delivery estimate. If someone could explaing what "gateline schedule" is, I'd appreciate it. Thanks

I think Gateline Schedule just means they have the order. What you are interested in seeing is D1 which means Scheduled For Build, and KZ which means Plant Release.

Hope you don't run into the situation I did. MIne went KZ on 10/17 and was loaded on a railcar on 10/21. It then went to Vera Cruz where it sat until 11/25 when it was loaded on vessel. Got to Tampa on 11/29. Didn't get to the dealer until 12/11. So from the time it left the plant until it arrived at my dealer, about just six days short of two months!!!

:D

Finally!!!!

This site exceeds anything I've seen in the last four years! I went to the site given to us by 'motorhead' and a new CTD is born.

My dealer told me that my DODGE was scheduled to be built on 3. 8. 04-- And like Emril says," BAM, BAM,--- BAM!" It wa built this morning and plant released @ 951A- CST; plant hold- NO; carrier hold-NO! ETA dealer-- 04. 01. 04!

3500 4x4, Quad, SRW, shortbox, DEE, Antispin, Larmie, side airbags, Seat htrs, nav system, tow group and protection group.

ARE Z series cap and DC boards( from 03) to be installed. Debadging to take place after acceptance and before drive away.

BFG 285's being put on 2 miles away-- delivery tires sold.

Hope the delivery Date is not an April Fool's joke.

Congrats on your new truck. Not to burst your bubble, but my delivery date to port then dealer has already changed twice. (currently, it's 3/22). I'll believe it when I see it.

Of course, I am on the East Coast, and I think they ship our trucks by mule train. :p

If you are in SoCal, you'll probably get it quick.

Ordered mine on Dec 30th and it has been at gateline schedule for a week.  Still no movement. This is getting old!

By the time I get the truck it will be time to replace the tires because the ones that were originally supposed to be put on the truck will be dry rotted from sitting around at the plant in Saltillo.

As it stands right now even if it were built today I don't think I would actually see it until the 2nd or 3rd week of April. I wonder what other production delays will pop up before mine is built.

Swexlin,

EST coast also--- So we'll see if the folks really accomplished what they said they would do--- I ordered my truck on 12. 30. 03--- it was put on hold status twice and I almost walked... Went way up the food chain through the dealer--- what they said happened -- they called some one who REALLY got involved-- DEE was a problem-availability- until March-- Built today as I said--- You are correct about the shipping process-- But, at least I'm driving my 03 and spinning up the miles, with a presold price upon delivery-- can't ask for much more than that from my dealer. He has earned my respect.

Regards,

Those holds didn't go on until mid-Feb. I ordered my truck on 1/19, D1 2/5, released 2/18, ETA to dealer now 3/22.

I think your dealer had an ALLOCATION issue. I'll won't complain now - you've been waiting 3 weeks longer than me, and won't get your truck until a couple weeks after (maybe).

As a later poster said, don't get excited. My truck sat on that stinkin' railcar for weeks. I'd check status every day. Every day the EDT would change by a day. Once it gets loaded on the ship, then get excited. BTW, from what I've seen Florida and east coast trucks go by ship from Vera Cruz. Midwest and West trucks go by rail thru Laredo. Customs takes a while at the US entry point wherever it might be.

Awesome link,

I am glad I can check my order status from home, I sure I was getting on my salesman's nerves by phoning him every couple of days.

My truck was ordered on Jan 21, Scheduled to be built (D1) on Feb 16, released from plant (KZ) on Feb 24. It is currently just across the Canadian border (Alyth, AB). It suppose to arrive at Edmonton, AB on Mar 10, then sit for 12 days until it is delivered to the dealership!??? Why does it take 12 days to move a truck off a rail car and to a dealership?

Having the truck so close, but still 13 days away sucks!!

Carl:(

TRY THIS ONE:

Ordered three weeks before Xmas. Re-ordered by the dealer five to six weeks later because the SOFT Tonneau was on backorder (entire order held by Saltillo without notice to dealer because of this, resulting in the re-order). Truck scheduled for build (D1) = 1/29/04. Released (KZ) from plant (Saltillo) = 2/11/04. Loaded on rail car = 2/19/04. At shipping point (Port of Vera Cruz) = 2/24/04. Loaded on ship 3/6//04. ETA = 3/22/04. You do the math.

I'm glad I didn't hold my breath waiting for this thing... I'd be dead a thousand times over by now. Order another DC product? NEVER AGAIN!

I have been checking on my brothers Dodge and I see it was D1 on 2-27-04 and we have nothing on it since . Must be sitting in the sun.
