I can get the rpms up to about 3500 with the smarty on #9, Stock TM and default everything else. I feel like I need springs with that kind of engine speed but I really don't want to do that (at less not now). Any way adjust it down. Does the TNT software allow more adjustability? I know the TNT can up the rpms more, but can it allow lower settings? I have to go to my trans builder next week, can the shift points be set lower to shift a little sooner?

I'm running TNT and no you can't lower RPMs. The only way to raise it to 4k is with TNT/R.

Your transmission guy might be able to do something, it depends on how much he knows about the 48RE trans.

Your best bet would probably be to get the PoD upgrade. If you download Level 9, and run PoD on 99%, you have full fuel to the max rpm, and higher shift points.

As you pick any number less than 99%, the power, max rpm, and shift point rpm all decrease proportionally. For instance, with the way my truck is set up, at PoD setting of 48% or so, max rpm is around 2,500. This sortof allows you to setup things any way you desire, with respect to the limitations of your individual mods.

3500rpms on stock springs is perfectly fine... no need for springs untill you start getting in the 3900-4000+ range.

There seems to be differing opinions on this. Your comment is reassuring, but if I'm gonna go into the red, I'd feel better with springs. I don't really have a need to rev that high and keeping it in the stock range will be better for longevity and service life. I just unlocked my smarty to send back to Bob for the PoD upgrade and then I'll play around a bit.
