I've got 4 Bilstein shocks to add to my frontend, but have been unable to find a company that has a setup to add 2 more shocks to each corner(the rear is done)---has anybody done this or know of a company who has a system---I've got the 4. 5" skyjacker stage 1 lift(guy talked me out of the stage 2)---any help would be greatly appreciated..... chris

Superlift offered a triple shock setup for the Dodges. Two outside the coil and the stock location. I believe it was part #4514. It's listed for the half ton but will work. I used the Fabtech half-ton shock hoops on mine and it just needed a little persuading. The Fabtech kit is two only, as it does away with the shock inside the coil.

duh... ... ... . I thought we had been through this

I told you about the 1/2 ton setups

bring it down and torch and mig will make mounts

Brandon--yea I know, but I had heard from Stefan K. that some guy( I know now it's GKR) had the setup we were looking for(Stefan didn't know what GKR had done, but he said it was sweet) and I was hoping he'd post and he did, so now we need to check out what we can get---thought it might simplify it for us... ... chris

Here's a picture of the upper hoop. I'll pull the tire off and get a better picture tomorrow hopefully if you're interested.

GKR--very interested in the whole pic--that'd be great---thanks ---

Superlift will have something for our trucks in April to add 2 shocks to the existing--part # 4517---the #4514 may work, but the tech guy didn't know what the differences would be he has just a few notes about the new part #..... chris

What are you using your truck for that requires dual shocks? I know you're running large tires but I'd suspect you can get enough damping out of a single shock. I seriously doubt that any of us are pushing the suspension so hard that we are overheating a single shock.

NVR--yes the Bilstein's are rebuildable---

plain and simple the guy talked me out of the double flex setup(dual shocks) when I got my lift---I looked at the dual shock set up and thought it looked more for show than go---I think I was wrong with that---anyway my first few sled pulls I had no probs, but as things loosened up I developed the dreaded skip to my Lou hop & wobble---so after some research with Brandon's help I purchased the Bilsteins figuring there had to be some mount available---well there technically isn't one, but GKR has adapted a 1/2 gasser setup to work and that's where we are today---do the same as GKR or wait until April for the Superlift parts to come out or get creative and make my own with the help of Brandon----going to get creative----- I didn't check into the coil over shocks... ..... chris

Chris,

If you're interested in coilovers at all, Skyjacker is releasing a bolt-in coilover kit for the front of the Dodges. They are made for Skyjacker by King. Not sure of the release date for the shocks but I called them on a transfer case indexing ring and they said march-april so maybe shocks will be around the same time. I'll take the picture this afternoon and post it.

GKR--I've got the Bilsteins--in fact I've had them for awhile--so that's what's going on---thanks for your help--and a pic of the lower connection would be great if you can get it---don't worry if you can't the lower end is easier than the top---chris

Chris, I know how that goes..... not long after I got my front end done, of course someone comes out with all new and "improved" stuff. :D I'm very satisfied with what I have now though. Rides and drives great. Here are pics of the upper and lower mounts.
