I did it on my 01 (2500), and it seems a lot more were doing it back then cuz you don't hear many putting them on the Gen3's. Is it a pain to put them on the new ones? Where can I get one (cheaper than dealer)? Bought my last one from a TDR member.
I did mine a little different. Since I run an air gate, I went to a farm supply store and bought a 3 light strip that would go on a trailer. I wired it up to work with the flat 4 trailer plug that is factory. See my gallery for pics.
not cheaper but if your looking for a light bar that does more than just a clearance light I have one that is LED has amber on the outside for turning and red on the inner 2 segments for stop and tail, just a thought... I am attaching a picture of a red and blue model but you get the idea...
line of fire is one brand. Brake, turn. taillight. Another is Fire and Ice, turn, brake, tail, and backup lights. Check google for web sites but they are around 70. 00 I think. I have line of fire cause they didn't make Fire and Ice then.
