The new body style of these trucks doesn't really have a rain gutter on the top edge of the cab. When it's wet, you open the door and get water all over the seat and your lap if you're in it. Living on the coast, it's always wet here so it really bugs me. Anybody else notice this?

YUP - and snow, too - been mentioned before... payback for the "new improved" styling it appears...

Mine doesn't do that though... :-laf :-laf :-laf

I miss rain gutters and straight up and down windows. They let you drive in the rain with the windows down without getting wet. Oh well.

No Rain Gutter

yes, I have found out about the effects of no gutter too, Living here in western Washington and like you in Oregon, we could sure use them rain gutters.

New rainless design

Hi,

Took possession of our '03 day before yesterday Oo.

Dealer said this new design starts at the bottom of the windshield. While you are driving it channels the water up and over the cab. The older design (on our '99) the water was all over the side window in strange patterns from the wind around the side morrors.

It seems with this new design Dodge forgot to think about rain and snow when the vehicle is parked.

When I was in Hospital Corpsman School, a Navy Chief put 7 p's on the board and asked if we knew what they stood for. None of us had a clue.

Noticed this

I bought a new truck in 1973, a Chevy. and it had no rain gutters (new cab that year), and soon an aftermarket company offered some "stick on" rain gutters then later Chevy. offered regular screw on rain gutters which they put on the 1974 and later trucks with the same cabs. Perhaps some of the old chevy guys are working for DC now. Anyway I will be looking for some on the "after" market soon. Larry
