I live in Maryland and I am in need of a torq. plate so I can have my block bored properly. The cheapest one I've found is $900! If anybody knows of anybody close that will sell or rent or even bore my block using one please let me know... Thanks everyone

why do you want to use a torque plate? todays machine shops unless you find a real hack, can bore the block without one... besides I never used one when I bored blocks unless they were blueprinted blocks... I personaly wouldnt even worry about it,you wont notice any difference, and is doesnt hurt anything, save your money... . Rick

I talked to Piers and he said if I can get my hands on one to diffently use one. All of cummins recon engines are bored with a torq plate, and Jasper as well. I'm putting a good bit of cash in this engine and I want it to be right... . anybody ???
