wondering how they look. Ordered some this am, 285's, on my new rig. Those Michelin blackwall All Season's we're horrendous. Anyway, I searched all last night for a pic of 'em, couldn't find anything. Thanks for any help guys!

Nice truck. How you liking those BFG? Also, I've been thinking of getting some Rancho RSX's, how ya like em? I only tow once in a blue moon, and that's a pretty light load.

BFG on truck

I like the tires, I recently rotated them and they look new still. I think the RSX shocks helped smooth out the rough roads like the washboards and such.

I did a trip and I think that the BFG's since they are an AT tire, they drop the MPG's a little. I did a long trip and the max that I was able to get on the truck above, was close to 20. it weighs 7400 Lbs. so I guess that is not bad.

I would like to replace mine with 285/75-16 or 295's If you do that, you will have to change the computer for the odometer. Either you can have the computer reflashed to read the new size or you can go to

http://www.abbott-tach.com/era.htm

It is the item that changes the ratio for the odometer.

Hope this helps you,

Eric

I am running 295's and like them very much. I do think that the 285 is a better looking tire because the side wall tread on the 285s comes down farther. The 295 is a better looking size for the trucks so it is a toss up. The bfg at ko has a very wide foot print for the metric size it represents and thus will look wider than other tires of the same size. For this reason they are some of the best looking tires out there.

I just found that none of the pictures I have of my truck are with these tires

sorry

Ted

I bet 265 for the 2wd will do great as the 265 looks good for the 4x4 already. better to have room for wheel travel when trying to do trails on 2wd.
