I was thinking about maybe adding the clearance lights to the top of the cab of my truck(should have ordered them)and was wondering if anyone has done it. If so, how big of a job was it, and does anyone have the P/N's for the whole kit for a 2001. Thanks in advance

Go step by step with the instructions. It's alot easier to align the template on the roof with an extra set of hands, first center the template using the measuring lines on the ends of the template then move it in to position and tape it to the roof. Everything else is pretty simple-remove A-pillar covers, sun shadesfront edge of headliner just enough to do the wiring. Most difficult part of the whole installation (and you will read this a thousand times) is drilling 15 holes in the roof of your baby. Just go slow, rust proof everything, use silicone, and be careful with those white plastic inserts that the screws for the lenses are supposed to ancor to, some of them (or in my case 8 out of 10) will just spin with the screw as you turn them, so you may need those same extra hands that assists you with the template layout to hold a needle nose around the shaft of the insert from inside the cab. There are 5 holes inside the ceiling of the cab, you'll see them when you drop the headliner, this will also show you if you were pretty accurate with your template line up. I know I kinda rambled everything together but hope these little tid bits help you out. Good luck and have fun!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys

Thanks for the information, I think I will buy a set and install them while winter is still here and the truck is sitting in the garage. One more question though- Robert was the P/N 82205120 for the kit for your truck(1995)? The reason I ask, is because I see the clearance lights look different on the newer trucks. Thanks again. Oo.
