Anybody know if DD will redo used 275's?

I was swapping in some DD2's for my 275's and noticed they have the same numbers on them. IE they use 275's for reworking. What I was wondering is if they will go through used ones and rework them to dd2's or 3's in the process? Ideas on cost would be appreciated, if known, as well. Thanks in advance.

First, it's hard to get used nozzles clean enough first. Secondly, you are looking at a number on the holder. DD can use any holder and you get whatever part number is on it. The nozzle number is what matters.

Is it not very cost effective/practical to replace the nozzles when reworking to stage 1's or higher? I guess the biggest question is will they do it first? And what it would cost second? Thanks for the "all knowing" input Mr Donnelly.

Some of the parts are non wearing and may be re-used. Shims for example can be re-used. DD wont re-use nozzles or needles.

The nozzle holder could be re-used in my opinion, but I dont know if DD re-uses that or not. The holder is the nut that fastens down the nozzle into the body of the injector. It does not wear out either. Those little shims to balance the spring pressure with are not cheap. Might as well re-use them if you can.

Sell your 275's in the classifieds, take $100 for the stockers and run! You can then buy the new DD's of choice very reasonably priced. MHO. If they did re-do your injectors for you there would be no price benefit as they still have to do everything to them.

Used injectors are not the best way to go in my opinion. By the time you get all the stuff you will need to replace the wearing parts ( nozzles and needles, etc) you have spent as much cash as if you just started with new ones.

Like Joe said above, its hard to get them clean enough to even begin the process. Cleaning time cost can exceed the cost of new injectors alone.
