Anyone seen the Olympic Train?

Hey folks,

Well good news, good news... I just got orders to Hill AFB in Saltlake city UTAH. I have a report no later than date of 10 Feb. The stinker is, I have to drive from Wichita Falls Tx, to Goldsboro and pick up the blazer and haul arse to Utah. If anybody lives around there, or has any clubs, please let me know.

Thanks, and looking forward to some fourwheeling meca fun!

Also, are there any TDR Chapters out there?

I know of atleast two members who work at HAFB, I used to until I got layed off. You will like it here, It's a good place to live.

Welcome

Corey, There's lots of TDR members around here, hope to see you at the dyno days. And welcome to Utah home of the Edge. :)

Moab or bust?

If you plan on doing any wheelin' in the REAL Mecca (Moab), look up Dan Mick. He knows every rock within 100 miles and he is a real talker, too - never lets the truth get in the way of a good story!:D He can lead you on any trail from mild to wild. Get a few guys together and the cost is pretty reasonable. Have fun!

PM me if you want more info - I think I have his number somewhere.

I welcome you to UTAH!! I live just to the west of HAFB in a town called Roy. I think you will enjoy your stay here. Just remember, you are comeing at a bad time as far as traffic and congestion is concerned as the Olympics will be her the first half of February!

Bring Jackets

Welcome to Utah Corey. Make sure you bring a jacket. We've been gettin' down to single digits at night plus windchill - a *little* colder than Texas!

Yeah, any roads leading to Olympic events have been in construction for many months now. Thank goodness, it's almost over! I've had broken windshields in both my vehicles :(

Hill AFB sits right next to the Wasatch mountains, and very close to the great salt lake. Very nice area to raise kids/plant roots. Lots to do for a person who fishes/hunts/loves the outdoors. Email me if you want more specifics at -- email address removed --.

Later,

Pat
