Anybody need anything towed from NC to TX? & Looking for "buddies" in Tx (4mo visit)

Well folks, I'm running empty from NC down to Sheppard AFB ( Wichita Falls) but most likely will stop in South Texas to visit with my mom. I'm also looking for anybody in the area that I may beable to discuss truck stuff with and or may know about the area. I'm going to be down for about 4 months. So if there is any chapters in the area, I'll try and get up with you guys to meet some of you.

Acutally, I'm planning a trip to Lackland AFB. So I'll be in the neighborhood! Also, if anybody knows of a dealer down there that stocks Amsoil & the air filter oil PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! I'm coming up on 10k on this change and the filter needs the oil.



Also, is there any good Junkyards and or trailer dealers down there? I've got a 6000lb Blazer that I need to find a car hauler for, and numerous parts for it also.

Hey Corey, I can hook you up on the Amsoil. You can just use some of my filter oil for now. The rest of the stuff you need I can order for you. As for the trailer, where do you need it towed? I have a '20 flatbed gooseneck. I'm sure I can find you some good salvage yards around here.

Big D Dodge Diesel Club

We meet in N. Dallas the 2nd Saturday of every month at a greasy spoon to talk trucks and kick tires. Why don't you try to come by if you have a chance. There are several junkyards in the area to satisfy your need for used parts. There are 3 or 4 trailer dealers in East Texas along I-30, Big Tex and Texas Bragg are 2 names that come to mind. I think there's quite a few trailer outfits in southern OK but I'm not familiar with the area that far west to be close to WF. I'm an Amsoil dealer so if you need anything let me know. I don't stock any but I have a guy close that does but sometimes he's hard to get in touch with, retired, must be nice. Hope this helps.

Hyde, You can bet I'll be down there. I doubt I'll beable to make it to the one in October, but will try for November. I'm not exactly sure where my travels will take me, but I do plan to make some trips down to the Gulf (Houston), San Antonio, Dallas!! & Corpis Christi would be great.



As far as trailers, I'm just looking for a H. D car hauler (industrial tractor type) to haul my 6000lb blazer & spare parts.
