i was wondering if anybody else was haveing a couple of the diodes staying on after you turn the key off. or any idea why they are staying on

on my 06 i have led's everywhere with no problem i used high power ones that are brighter than original. if you have a few low power singles i bet since the truck uses pwm instead of relays or contacts that the leakage is enough to partially light them

I have LED's on my truck, the flatbed part anyway and also all the lights on my trailer are LED. Never seen one stay on.

What LED's in particular are you having an issue with?

Every light i have except the headlights are L. E. D. Not a 3rd gen but I have never seen one stay on with my truck.

I used to run Grote LEDS on my bed, recently switched to Lightech's, BUT at one point I did notice some of my marker lights glowing real dim when off when I had the Grote's. I think it was proably a bad ground someplace, the problem seemed to go away and I haven't worried about it since. I haven't noticed any issues with my new lights.

mine glow real dim. it doesn't seem to run down the batterys, and they seem to go off at some point in the night, i've never noticed them on the fallowing morning

I had LED's on my flat beds and took them all off... . in the winter the ice and snow will blow back and coat the back of the trucks... with LED's you can't see the lights as there is not enough heat to keep the snow and ice melted off... .

YES they are brighter and can be seen farther back... but in the snow and blowing snow during low light times its nice to see the ice and snow melted off the lenses and the back of the truck...

We had one truck rear ended by a Honda, our truck was going 35 mph following a semi and the Honda had to be doing 60... . no damage to our truck but the Honda was a total... it was almost a white out condition during the day... . 1 pm or so... . our driver wasn't hurt and when we're in an accident we have to photograph the vehicles even if its not our fault... from 20 ft behind our truck you could hardly see it...

We still use the LED's on some of the clearance lights up high but everything on the rear is back to sealed lenses with bulbs... .

Hmmm. I never thought of the disadvantage of LEDs lacking sufficient heat to melt accumulated snow and ice. I recently replaced all the lamps on my CM flatbed with LEDs and really appreciate the improved visibility. I'm not transporting any longer and don't live in snow country so guess it doesn't matter.
