Just wondering if any 3rd gen guys are running this system? Hows the sound in and out of the cabin? Any drown at hwy speed? Any input and your impresstions would be great. My 06' has a 4" system so I don't see the ned to go back with a 4" system. I like the deeper sound, but I am NOT looking for a truck that sounds like it has open pipes and no muffler.

Thanks, again

Troy- The Magnaflow kit sounds very good. You can definately tell it has a muffler because the sound is much different than a straight pipe or cheap muffler. The muffler core on the Magnaflow 5" kits is actually 4" and so is part of the down pipe. The sound is very throaty with little to no drone. Hope this helps.

Yes I had one! The fit and finish of MagnaFlows stuff is top notch. Absolutly an ease to put on. I however did not like the 4" muffler very long and too quiet for me. I went to a 5" Dynomax Bullet muffler which is about half as long and about twice as loud :D

Let me make sure I unberstand this right. The pipe before the muffler is 5" then the pipe goes down to a 4" muffler, then back up to a 5" tail pipe section?

Am I missing somthing?

Thats why I didtched the 4" magnaflow muff.....

I am also running the 5'' Magnaflow. I am very pleased with it. I love the way it sounds . I had no drone sound empty but when I tow a little 18 foot enclosed trailer the drone sound is terrible. We can't even talk over it in the cab. I am insulating under my cab hopefuly to help get rid of the drone.

The 5'' magnaflow was the first mod on my '05. I will have to say my system that landed on my porch had it's hangers welded on by STEVIE WONDER!!!!!! I called magnaflow to complain and that was a nightmare! They're answer was i should sell it on ebay!!! I was very ******. The topper was my truck lost low end power, i was forced to buy a E/J/A :-laf I also did not care for the sound,1st & 2nd gear was very annoying. It sounded like two honda's racing. I could not get that exhaust off my truck fast enough. I relaced it with a silverline & mbrp product. ( 4'' ) My truck runs great with or without my E/J/A on a 4'' exhaust. I am sure the welding of the hangers was an isolated incident and if you are looking for very loud system you will be happy with it! P. S. If you are any were near northern illinios i will give you a six pack of beer to take that piece of crap system off my property because the garbage man won't take it!!!
