My truck doesn't have a LSD, thought about changing it over but I was told about these air lockers. Anybody make air lockers for Dana 80's? I have only seen them for 60's but they seem a bit expensive.
I've had an air locker in my 2ndGen D60 for about 35k miles & am quite pleased with its performance. Bypassed the ARB compressor and installed a larger 'extreme outback' compressor ($375) and a 2. 5 gal air-tank, to improve the on-board air aspects of it. Very pleased. A front locker is well worth the bucks. Am already plumbed for a rear install on the D80 this fall.
They're putting the Detroit Locker in my D70 today. Should have it back tomorrow. My LSD is for sale, if you have an open rear carrier and want an LSD, PM me.
Buy the ARB its well worth the money... between myself and about ten other wheelers we all use their product... great company they stand behind their product even in cases of abuse... don't bother with their compressor go with via air... . If your not doing the install yourself you'll spend more on labor than the product.
I'm running an ARB in my Jeep. I've had it now for a couple of years. Because of the Jeeps abilities I have to carry a repair kit. The ARB compressor is ok but, I recommend true on board air like the Kilby York compressor.

I use a York compressor. It came from a junkyard vehicle. Kilby sells parts for on board air kits. Most of his stuff can be puchased for less at other places. Just wanted to clarify that Kilby does not make York compressors.
