anybody with isspro gauges

I have installed Egt Trans, Boostgauges in my ram now for the ? The egt probe has a female plug on it but the control wire that piers sent has a tiny nut and bolt that is suposed to connect them together. Can I cut the female end off the probe. I know you are not to cut the supplied wire but i need to know if i can cut the connector off of the probe. This site is great thanks in advance Steve

Where and why does the probe have a plug, why do you need a new control wire, are the gauge and probe same brand/ compatable.



Yes: but the ring lugs are not the same as at the parts store.

I bought these as a kit from piers and they came in isspro boxes so i assume they are compatable. Why does it have a female conector on it i do not know but the probe has about a six inch wire with a elect. conector on it and i would have to cut the conector of to hook up the supplied control wire. Piers closed on thursday for the easter holiday so i canot talk to him. thanks steve

They either sent you the wrong connecter wire or the wrong thermocouple. Isspro has both the plug in and the bolt on. Go to www.issproinc.com . You will see what they sent you and also be able to determine what you need.
