Isspro Boost Gauge

My Isspro EV boost guage makes a similar sound when I step on my fuel pedal and make that needle climb. Seems normal to me.

It's from the intake valves opening. You need to change the location of the boost line. Take off your intake horn, drill and tap it for your boost line. No more vibration. You might want to have an extra gasket just in case one tears while taking it apart.

the vdo boost gauge i have on my tahoe rattles at idle [650rpm] and it rattles if i let off the boost real quick [drop it from 10psi to none real quick. ] i have a ball valve on the line that i can close to dampen/restrict the pulses from reaching the gauge. it does work well, but, it makes the gauge real slow to react

VDO boost gauge

Dixie Dawg,

My VDO gauge did the same thing. It is piped to the intake manifold. To make it stop, I put a valve inline to the guage and have it cracked open just a bit (the valve acts like an orfice. It took a bit of adjustment to get it just right).

This eliminated the "rattle" in the gauge. Reaction time of the needle may be slower, but I can hardly notice.

I plan on installing in the intake horn whenever I get time... but I've been running with the valve installed for 9 months:rolleyes:

Best of luck!
