I just put a pair on the drivers side, I'm not sure if you need to bother with clamps. :mad:

I took the battery and the battery box out to get a good run at them.



They definately LOOK like they should hold.

Nope, have not had a problem with anything of Piers. Especially my boots. so you shouldn't either... .

My lower PDR intercooler boot on the passenger side blew off two days ago. I'm seeing 79 psi in the manifold with no nitrous. The boot on the passenger side of the intercooler is seeing over 85 psi.



I would really like to see the 4" part a little longer. The boot bottoms out on the intercooler when it is only on there about 1" to 1. 5". I'd like to see that portion of the boot about 3" long so we could double clamp them.



Maybe on the next batch, eh?



You're right sleddy, they are pretty tough to get on. I had my boot and all the connections cleaned with brake clean for a good seal. After fighting to install them for 10-15 minutes, I was thinking hard about using some oil to lube them up to help them slide on a little easier. :) hehe.

Whenever the urge to oil a tight hose hits I use aerosol 100% silicone. Hose slips on easily and after the silicone dries it acts like a light glue.

geesh I thought we were talking about skins? Ole MGM never takes his boots off I heard anyway...

I had to go with the Piers boots and I was able to blow one of theirs to( I thought impossible). I did pre-lube with pam cooking oil. (no/no) I found that after running the engine 50 miles and re-tightening with a hot engine the boots should stay. I was able to get quite a few more turns with hot parts. I have really put them through the test at the drag strip and they are holding now.
