A couple of the 1st gen guys have had Quad4x4 replace their Getrag 5 speed transmissions with the newer NV4500, and have had nothing but great things to say about them



I have absolutely no experience with them personally though. Maybe somebody with some firsthand experience will say something.

I've dealt with Dan at Quad4x4 for balljoints and trans parts. He'll take good care of you and stays up on what works for our trucks. If you don't need the tools, or don't need all of them in one of Dan's kits just let him know and he'll fix up a price for only what you DO need.

I've ordered several items from Quad 4x4 over the past few months... new front axle vaccum motor, front spindle nuts, rear main seal kit, transfer case seal and several other things. Everything was great! Super fast and free shipping. The rear main seal kit even came with an installation video. I couldn't be more pleased with their quality and service.

I just got off the phone with Dan and ordered the ball joint kit with tools for my 1996.



FWIW - I asked what brand the ball joints were he said they are Dana. When I asked him about Moog he said he uses them (Moog) on other vehicles but prefers the Danas for our trucks.

I just ordered mine and asked about the grease fittings; the tops got 'em and the bottoms don't.

I'm getting alot of outside wearing on my tires. Due to this I want to order the Problem Solver Moog Balljoints. These have the ability to adjust camber up to 1 degree.

Does anyone know if these are available from Quad 4x4?
