Anyone done the "flyer thing"

On the very back of issue 36 of TDR, it gave the idea of a xerox membership drive. After realizing that there are no known TN members (at least none, known to me) I decided to give this a try.



I printed 10 fliers last night and put my name, home phone, and e-mail if additional information was wanted on a small piece of paper stapeled to the top left hand corner. I handed 2 out in person today to men that I knew that owned CTD's(sadly both 24 Valves :-laf ) and the rest I put under the wiper's of parked CTD's.



Both men I handed fliers to knew me in a way, but weren't "friends. " I hope they took me seriously as I am only (almost) 19, these 2 were grown men that I handed the fliers to.



I kinda rushed into my house tonight to check my machine (personal line of my own), but as I figured no one had called.



I've printed another 20 fliers I will start to hand out tomorrow, I only hope I don't run out tomorrow.

Last guy I asked about the TDR gave me an earfull on "the POS Dodge". He wasn't too happy with his Ram. But then neither was I. When is DC gonna wise up?

I still try to promote the TDR. And I like to hang out here. Nice job on the cards.

I'm trying to keep the TDR a secret. I enjoy the looks of other diesel drivers as I blast pass them pulling a trailer uphill while they are empty too much.

Because so far the only Tennessee TDR member besides me that I know of is CMNS PWR.





I'm out putting flier's on the windshields of CTD's, and hand'n 'em to my friends that know CTD owners. I've already passed/handed out 15 or so, and I'm still look'n!

I've put a few under wiper blades on CTD Rams I

see when I'm out and about. I've also approached

a few but I've yet to hear from any that actually

signed up to the TDR because of my actions.

The very first total stranger I spoke to about his Cummins didn't have a computer but IS a TDR member! Right here in River City!



There's a bunch of young farmers over by my folks place that swear by Cummins (imagine that). Two new 3500's over there in the last month alone--probably a dozen CTD trucks in the bunch. I know one or two indirectly, so I'm going to hit them with a TDR membership drive. Also going to try to get them to go to the Black Mtn opening.



And they live real close to a dyno!

I printed some flyers from the home page of the website I think. I think that is where I got them. I gave the printer a good workout that day.

The ones I'm passing out have a 2wd Ext. Cab 3500 with a horse trailer on the back.

I just keep the old issue(s) in the truck until I meet somebody and get talkin'. Kind of nice to really SHOW them what all is in the TDR mags.
