Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Anyone done the TSB to removed the crankcase breather bottle?

If you look under your truck and in back of the motor you will see a clear 1"

hose, that would be it. Had it done 3 years ago. Also added a bottle to get any drips. Much cleaner then having it up front :D :D :D

They replace one of the side covers behind the injection pump and some new fittings. The timing cover hole is plugged off.



Did you pay to have this done? SNOKING

ASK TqT (Torque This) about his new TSB style tappet cover / breather setup. It's layin outside in the parking lot somewhere or even across the street LOL!
 
I am curious toolman, how did it end up across the street? Did it blow apart?



Since day 1, it did nothing but leak... 3 gaskets to stop it from leaking, I don't know how many hours I spent under the hood. I have got the VP-44 removal, filter housing, injector lines, ECM, lift pump bracket down to about a 1/2 hour now... :)



Stick with the add on piece of hose...
