I was just cleaning my '06 SLT today and just kept getting more mad, the stupid texture on the dash and door panels in reality needs to be pressure washed tocome clean, get any dirt or mud on it and it just will not come off without extreme scrubbing. the biggest problem however is how the stuff scratches, it scratches very very easily and looks awful. The seats look like the would come on the ST model instead of the SLT, anyone know why dodge and ford both thought everyone would like the same cheap material that comes in the work trucks with roll up windows. It stains, just by having rain water hit it. basically the whole interior looks cheap and not up to a 35k truck. I dislike it so much I don't know if I would have bought the same truck again.

Id have to agree with you on the seats. Mine are stained all over the place and its all from water. I thought about getting seat covers but they are to far gone now. Just going to wait untill I cant stand them anymore and have them replaced and then cover them. My wifes 05 grand cherokee has the same crappy interior in it too.

You might consider throwing some seat covers from Marathon Seat Covers on there. Great fit and extremely water and stain resistant. Chamois down the interior and forget about it. It's a truck.

im sure thats why the '07. 5 seats have that new protectant YESS essentals or whatever its called... i have the leather seats and still dont like these things!! its mostly vinyl (or maybe the fact that i delivered a Ristol ram the other day and the entire front and rears are ALL leather) lol. .

kinda tired of the battle ship grey look... thinkin about getting the piano black set-up from the last "night runner" srt-10 (i think that was what is was???) might look better?

And here I though that the YESS essentials seats in my '07 stood for Yes It Will Stain. :-laf

Seriously, it has to be the easiest material I've ever seen to show marks and stains. If it happens to rain, even the slightest amout on them, it takes me an hour with a damp cloth to get them clean again.

Just reading your comments on the seat staining, that is too bad, no reason for something like that to happen. The YESS seats are good, no stains from water, etc.

what is more frustrating is I own a professional carpet and upholstery cleaning business, and the seats still suck to clean, the regular valour type material in most vehicles cleans up great and very easy

My seats in the 06 were stained 2 days after picking it up new. Looks like someone pee'd all over and most stains are water (none are pee that I know of :( ). I give up and just dont care about the seats because its a great truck overall. Im getting the covercraft seat covers in a few months any way.

Seems the 94-2002 seats are better, comfortwise, than anything since. They aren't particularly hard to clean, either. I'll probably add aftermarket seats to the list of things to do to my truck after this tour in Iraq.

Yeah my 95 seats were fine, not prone to staining and quite comfortable in general, more comfortable than my 08 actually.

Yep, my interior has some pretty good scratches in it as well. Dash piece closest to the front windshield is cracked and broken very badly. The texture of the plastic and door panels makes it almost impossible to clean pollen out of if you drive with the windows cracked at all.

I liked my 04 way better. The leather in my 06 is a lot lighter and shows more dirt. I havent had any scratches yet, but ive had tint and a dash mat all the way around since i brought it home. Maybe the lack of UV damage might help it last.

The rear seats have the covers from dodge and i had them off recently to wash them, which showed me how dirty the fronts were.

I don't know how the 06 compares to the 05. The leather seats and interior on my Laramie have been great. No complaints at all.

Cheby seats.

My buddy's seats on his '03 do not seem as "long" as my '07. By that,I mean they do not extend forward as much. Less thigh coverage. At the car show,I found the Chevy leather seats were heaven on earth.

The seats in my 94 with no covers for all these years still look good the seats in the 06 suck already dirty. The dash is a different story. Hope it does not come apart like the 94
