Anyone ever ask you why you had "all those gauges"?

Help with Underdrive

All the time with my 01 when I had them on the pillar. On the 03 I moved them down to the steering wheel. Not too many people notice them now.

Heck after looking at Bruce's (1dslram) and Dave Shermans' trucks, I ask them that all the time!! I think Dave has the entire Autometer Catalog somewhere in that truck!!:p :-laf .....

I just ususally respond- "I don't know... . Do you??"

Yes I do get asked that alot. I have three in the A-piller, One steering column mount, four center low on dash (angled toward me), and two under dash (tank press, and bag press). I usually figure If you have to ask "why so many gages" then you wouldn't understand.

I used to fly a B-52 for the USAF.

8 engines, 6 gauges each, 10 hyd systems with gauges, fuel system had 16 tanks, electrics had 4 generators, oxygen system had 2 systems, landing gear 6 lights, 2 navigation radios, 3 voice radios, intercom, autopilot, bombing system, missle system, air conditioning system, emergency alarm system, ...

Never got asked about my gauges though :D I think I would ask them why they drive "blind", oh, opps, they do have an IDIOT light!

To mant guages?,,,Naaaaaaaa

Two on the A pillar, two on the steering colomn, three on the transmission hump plastic cover and looking to add two more. Wife says the CHP will never quit writing if stopped. Installed minnie switches on A pillar to turn off when not needed. All are red LED. :D

Most of those Power-smoke and Dura-slack guys can't read anyway--so gauges wouldn't do them much good!!! Besides they are usually looking at my 5" exhaust tip... ... ... ... ... R, J. B. :D
