Never heard that story. I guess Clark was a clever character who knew how to multiply his apparent resources by being very clever. He certainly made a trek that most of us do not want to take today - with boats, etc. In my truck, it sounds fun.

Great find! I had seen that an air rifle was on their list of supplies, but did not give it much thought. I guess I thought about my old Daisy BB gun and dismissed it. Sure adds to the story of Lewis and Clark.
