So earlier today I was poking around eBay and came across this '92 W250 with crystal clear headlights with a replaceable bulb, as opposed to the sealed lights 1st Gen trucks usually use. I asked the guy where he got them, but he said all he could remember was that he ordered them online from a place in California. Anyway, has anyone ever come across these/have them, and could tell me where to find a set?

Here's the eBay link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...&item=290023776140&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:US:1

The pic of the headlight is in the first column, 5th row.

I believe Stomp has/had these as of last fall. If I remember correctly when I asked him about them because they looked cool he said they were just that, cool looking but not that brite of a light, nothing special.

A friend of mine has those on his Jeep, $39. 99 from JC Whitney. He said they weren't that great until he opted for the more powerful bulb (55 watt?). Now he says he loves them and wouldn't go back to halogen if you paid him. Here is the part number from JC Whitney's site: ZX495313N

I've got them in my Ramcharger, and I had them in my D150 a few years ago. You will have to trim the headlight buckets in order to get the rubber gasket on the back to sit flush, and also so you have access to the rear for bulb changing. Not a big deal if you have a dremel. You just have to make the hole in the bucket completely round instead of half round. As for bulbs, put in the silver stars. Alot brighter, whiter light than your sealed beams have.
