Oh Dear not this topic again.............
I brought this up a few months back. Got all kinds of answers on it. Is is dangerous, yes of course it is. If I semi rear ends your 5er, well rest assured, I don't care if you're in the truck or trailer- you're gonna get hurt. If there's an accident that's that bad to completely total a trailer down to the frame, (unless something ran a red to hit the trailer) its gonna likely total the truck too. I had seat belts installed in the sofa, and have only taken passengers on short 20-30 mile trips. I don't think it's that big a deal. I howvever certainly would not consider doing it on a cross country trip, I just don't think its worth it. And it is uncomfortable- mostly I think because you cant really see what's goin on except out the side. I didn't think is was that terribly bouncy, it was more so than the truck for sure but I also have rancho shocks on the trailer. I'm sure I'm in the minority here but I thought I'd shout out my 2 cents.
