This thing looks pretty nice... . monitors everything you could want and no box needed... . anyone have it yet? I really liked my isspro's in my last truck, but I plan on getting a smarty and like the idea of defueling based upon EGT, Boost,... .

I just noticed it on the website... Looks like you need some other parts to do the whole thing.

Quite a bit of features, too much for me - I'm a simple man, egt/boost and I'm good to go

The monitors are out, but most of the adaptors to work the other boxes (Quad boxes already work and don't need a box) aren't ready, neither are the A-pillar mounts, nor enough fuel pressure kits available yet.

I will try to go down the list to answer some questions.

First the Monitor is not going to be able to de-fuel the Smarty, or any other downloader type enhancement. Everything we control and de-fuel is plug in modules. It will still work great for everything you want to monitor. You can still set warnings, both visual and audible.

The monitor itself is actually pretty simple. As it comes you can monitor EGT, Boost, Trans/Oil temp, and coolant temperature. If you want to watch fuel pressure you need the fuel pressure kit, but it is very reasonably priced. With this you will be able to watch rail pressure and low pressure from 0-100 psi.

Not all of the adapter are out yet. Right now we cover all of our modules as well as the VA modules. For the VA modules you need to get an adapter cable which is cheap, no electronics are required. We will be releasing the cables for the Edge EZ (adjustable) and the BDTD modules as well. These are also very economical.

We do have plenty of fuel pressure kits. Upon first release we had a shortage for what was backordered, but now we have plenty and all of the backorders have been shipped.

Lastly, the monitor comes with everything you need to monitor EGT, Boost, Trans/oil. and coolant temp. If you want the rail and low pressure it comes in a kit with a stainless banjo bolt, washers, and the wiring you need. The wiring it comes with also has the needed ports for future accessories like a turbo timer or a "translator" for a secondary module.

Thanks for the quick reply qzilla... . suppose I was thinking it would defuel the ecm based upon parameters... . but I guess it's the box / download that's doing the actual ecm code... . not sure if that made sense, but I understand what you're saying. Either way, looks to be a nice monitor with future flexibility... . might have to go with one of those in lieu of the isspros. .

I'm really tempted to get one of these...

The main reason is the data-logging capability it is going to have. Supposedly you're able to plug in a USB cable, and watch all your monitored parameters on a laptop screen. You can save the info and review it at a later time.

If you're trying to eek out every available hp on a dyno, I think it will prove to be a valuable tool. It will be much easier than watching your EGT, Boost, Fuel Rail Pressure and lift pump pressure all at once, for 5 to 15 seconds (or maybe longer, depending on dyno) and remember everything you saw.

Whenever the mounting accessories come out, I may make the switch from gauges to a Commander.

Does the Commander "read" everything off of the EMC, or do you still have to drill for your pyro to get EGT's and tap into you manifold for boost? also the transmission temp, is that from a remote sensor or again from the EMC. This thing is starting to interst me!

Drill for pyro, tap for boost, pigtail for engine temp, pigtail for rail pressure, and banjo/sender for fuel pressure, sender for trans temp.
