Competition What other twin options are there?

Competition Safety Kill Switch

Just wondering if anyone is going to the pull on July 20th in Platte City, MO? They have HUGE PAYOUTS again just like last year. If you go to the following link and click on the rules link you can see the payouts for 1st thru 5th place.

There is also an Open class to be run after the street diesel class (also has payouts but not as large).

Due to rule # 8 if I want to pull, it will have to be in the Open class (anything goes) competing against the Schied truck, Terry Martin, etc... For some reason competing doesn't seem like the correct word to be used here...

My hometown pull is the following day in Johnson, NE (south of Omaha about an hour). They have a 80% payback but no sponsors like this one so no big money. You could always make the trip for that pull...

I will be there to watch and I am trying to get some area trucks down there. I am really hoping 3 or 4 of them will step up.

You going to Tecumseh this weekend?

You bet I will, I may enter twice so I can let the wife pull it. I figured she let me spend all this money, I better let her have some of the fun.

Tecumseh,NE this saturday the 14th

Platte City, MO the 20th

Johnson, NE the 21st

Pawnee City, NE 27th

St. Joe, MO 29th

Falls City is in there somewhere as well.

You can run a slug in your charger to make it a 2. 8.

Why not do that. I had to install one in my big turbo to pull in the NWMTPA.

EDIT: sorry im being stupid and not reading the sigs very well you got twins!

from the sounds of things were expecting 30-50 trucks so i would say the pit are will be packed. Alot of guys coming driving in with semis so it will be tight

It was a good show, don't remember the exact number but somewhere around 30 trucks in the street diesel class. Lots of nice running rigs there.

Tomac came out on top in 1st place.

In the open class I ended up with 4th place right after three of the best running rigs I've ever seen. (Kent Crowder, Brad Ingram, and Dan Painter).

Brad and Dan were around the 325'-328' mark and Kents wasn't measured, the announcer just said somewhere around 500' (in reality probably about 420' or so) it was one heck of a pull.

I felt very out of place in this class, I wasn't towed up to the sled with a pit vehicle, no sponsor stickers on the truck, kids car seats still buckled in the back seat, no ether to get it started, and then I drove home 90 miles when I was finished.

I've got video of everyone there, when I find time I will get it online.

That was a fun night. It was nice to see all the trucks like Tomac, Ingram, Painter, Coppess, etc. I think there were 8 states represented. The video doesn't do it justice either.
Thanks to the Platte County Fair for putting on a great show once again this year.
