Anyone had dealer install trailer tow mirrors?

I'm thinking about it, but don't know how much. I got a great deal on a dually, but it didn't have em on it.

No way, I'd be afraid to have my dealer check the air pressure in my tires.

Put them on yourself. Not that big a deal if you already have power and heated mirrors.

I'm sure you could do it. In fact you might even find someone willing to swap with you. I'm not 100% sure but the tow mirrors on my 03 look alot like the ones on my brothers 3/4 ton 2001.



Does anyone else find it funny that a DRW came without towing mirrors?

My new truck didn't come with the tow mirrors so I bought them from the dealer and they ordered them. The truck goes in to have them installed in two weeks. Now you guys have me worried!!! I'll let you know if there are any problems. My fingers are crossed!

Just to let you know there are 2 ways to order the mirrors. They offer them as an upgrade package wich includes both mirrors and they sell the mirrors sepratly(sp). Well at least they did with the pre 03. The upgrade package was cheaper than buying both mirrors sepratley by quite a bit. The mirrors are diffrent on the DR trucks 02+ 1500 and 03+ 2500/3500 trucks than the BE trucks. The base that attaches to the door is a diffrent size and the tow mirrors for the DR trucks is powered.

I just replaced mine with the OEM Power/Heated mirrors. 10 Minute Job, no sweat. Just remove one screw from the door panel and theres plenty of room.



BTW, how stupid could I be for not getting these in the first place???

How much are the OEM 2003 towing mirrors with heat/power? I have a 2001. 5 with the standard power/heated mirrors. My plan is to buy a pair of the 2003 power towing mirrors, and a pair of the 2001 non-power towing mirrors and swap the mounts so I will end up with a set of power towing mirrors with heat on my 2001. 5.
