anyone have a built 727!!!!!!

I am looking for feedback on a built up 727. Who did it and whats in it.

Rick at A&A transmission built the transmission in my truck,,, And it is one heck of a unit. He is one heck of a guy and will go out of his way to take care of you.



The internals have been upgraded, 5 Pinion front Planetary, 4 pinion rear planetary, torrington bearings, Billet lower/reverse servo pistion kit, upgraded bands clutches, and steels, complete vavle body. My transmission is out right now due to the fact of stock shafts, input and output. I broke my output shaft while doing a 20psi boosted launch... I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING THIS.



After doing a good bit of research I found that no one makes an better shaft for our transmissions, due to the fact of the many diffrent shafts that were used by Chrysler but after talking to Rick the next batch of shafts he makes,,, he might make some for us. You can get an upgraded input shaft from Suncoast but it's a one piece input shaft and hub assy but it's about 650. 00 which I will be running sometime down the road after I break my next input shaft.





I will warn you the early transmissions have alot of little changes that can make things a little hecktic and you will probally have to tear it down to know for sure what you have. But just hang in there and it will be worth while.

a friend of mine has a custom built BD 727 in his 89 4x4 and he loves it. i havent personally rode in it but have heard about its greatness. had a big price tag though-he almost choked when we compared prices with my Goerend transmission(mine is a 97 47re).
