Anyone have a TAILGATE replacement Idea?? OUCH!!

Well, I finally did it... . made the ultimate cowboy sacrifice!!! Was in a hurry on Friday after work, unhooked to gooseneck trailer, and forgot to let the tailgate down. BANG!!!!! All of my cowboy buddies are still laughing at me... I was the only one who hadn't done it. . I was looking into replacing it with a mesh or chrome tailgate. They look kind of fancy. . didn't know if anyone had any other ideas?? THanks in Advance! :--)

You still have to drop the gate anyway when you unhook from a gooseneck... Maybe not so for a 5'er, but a GN sits alot lower in the bed. Just get one made out of expanded metal. They are not hard to make, if you have a welder... I used to have one on my 1st gen, just because I didnt like it. . Also, I went with NO tailgate for a while... kind of liked that too, kept from acquiring too much crap in the bed that way!
