How much does a new or used B3.9 go for?

I would like to know if a 2nd gen style exhaust manifold and turbo would fit better than a 3rd gen exhaust manifold and turbo? I won't be using the stock exhaust manifold or turbo off the 04 engine. I will be buying a new two piece (3rd gen) or three piece (2nd gen) exhaust manifold and an aftermarket turbo.

Anyone have any pics of their installation in a newer powerstroke (ex. 2000 to 2002)?

Check for Dawna's previous thread on the 2005 powerstroke conversion. Her username is autoworld. They have several pics of what your looking for already on this forum. The thread is just about a novel by now. They have more pics off line if you need parts or suggestions from them. ;)

Yes, I've read the thread on Ricks truck. Very sweet setup. Is the F550 body/engine compartment the same size as a F250 or F350?

There are minor differences, but nothing I would consider a roadblock in compartment size etc. The cabs are identical but spaced slightly higher off the frame along with the front clips. Take a look a ford dealer and you'll see what I mean. Axles are about the only thing you get bigger in the 450/550 type trucks. (other than bragging rights and a deeper hole in your pocket each month).

I was also curious how hard it would be to plumb in a BHT3B under a stock turbo if installed in the Excursion. I guess I will just have to try it and see! It looks like the heater core may be an issue.
