I have many friends that run H&S and never heard a bad thing, If I were to ever delete a 6. 7 that is the route I would go.

H&S and Smarty are both good tuners.

Some people say the H&S put off more smoke and are "dirty. "

I have a Smarty and have no complaints.

We use H&S tuners exclusively, and have since their beginning and love them and their support from my dads 09 to our customers 08 twin turbo with over 680 rear wheel hp!

Loved my 6. 7 with the Black Maxx and Overdrive software.

Now I'm selling it so I can get the wife a decent car and I'll get myself a 2nd gen, pretty sure I'm going with a 3500 this time though.

i just bought a 2008 2500 with a 6. 7 and want to delete the dpf and egr, and i need to turn off the tpms, i run 19. 5 rickson wheels and the sensors dont fit the rims. has anyone used h&s tuners or have a suggestion on another that works good?

Hi,

The Smarty will NOT turn off the TPMS. I know I have one and my TPMS lights and dings up for 5 to 6 months a year. When I run the rear tires at 45 PSI. On another diesel web site that I am on, one of the poster is a Smarty user who switch to H&S for this reason. The H&S programmers will turn off the TPMS were as his Smarty would not. He even had a petition to MADS electronic for all off us to sign. When he had 100 + signatures he submitted this to MAd's with no feed back from them. He than switch to a H & S Black Max.

That sounds backwords from every report I have head. Low boost Smarty smoke is almost a MADS signature, the H&S trucks I have seen are very clean.

Thanks. . I have only been around trucks on low and med, where the equivalent Smarty makes more off boost smoke.

I don't know if you can see these vids, if not I can try to track them down on youtube.

2:10 is my truck - Black Maxx programmer, fuel rail shim, airdog lift pump, egr delete, and a 4" turbo back exhaust is all I've done to it.

The squealing at the end of my pull was my tires smoking on the clay.

JP has a 5. 9 running a Smarty - unfortunately at this pull he was having some odd trans issues but you can see he still throws a bit of smoke.

I think that Smarty was bad about smoke on the 5. 9s but on the 6. 7s I have met no one who has that experience.

I have used SW3, 5 and now 7 and have never had a smoke issue.

i ended up getting the mini max with the trans software, great improvement and minimal smoke unless turned up all the way. very happy with it

Good call. You just can't tell someone how much better the revised shift logic is versus factory, but it's like night and day.
