Anyone have the bucket seat option??

Has anyone ordered the bucket seat option on their truck or have a link to some pics of them?

Thanks for the reply, and though I have seen those pics, they don't really show the seats very well.

Would the bucket seats be drastically different than the 40-20-40 set-up?

I would also like to know if the underseat storage is retained due to the large middle console?

Vaughn, I believe that is the standard 40-20-40 leather seats. When I was spec'ing my 06', there was a bucket seat option over and above the 40-20-40 leather. I also believe that is how you get the seat level middle console.

Vaughn, Davey is correct about your photo showing the standard Laramie seating option. The photo's Davey and I linked are of the the new bucket seat option which also includes the full center console. I spec'ed my Mega with the buckets even though I haven't actually seen them in person yet. Hopefully the bucket seats will have a fold down arm rest.



What I dislike is the new cup holder arrangment on the SLT's and standard Laramies. By having them on the floor you have to reach down to grab you beverage. Furthermore, if you have a middle seat passenger they're feet are on the cupholder scratching it all up. However, I've seen one '06 with the traditional flip down cup holder but I can't remember what configuration the truck was.

I believe it's the Laramie trim level with automatic trans, except MegaCab. The QuadCab doesn't have the rear seat vents therefore you don't need the full-floor console, unlike the Mega. Looked at an '06 auto with laramie trim and it had the flip down cupholders.

My new 06 auto has the flip down cupholders like my 02 had. I think the floor console is for those who have the manual trans or the manual t-case. The bucket seats get the full console - ie no center seat. That mega cab pic shows a third, slightly different floor console I have not seem before.
