Just curious, I just started taking Tae Kwan Do to help get myself back into shape, I took Kenpo Karate when I was a kid and a friend taught me some Hapaikido (sp?, never could remember the spelling on that one).

You don't realize how bad a shape your in til you start doing those crunches or hopping the length of a room and back on one leg whilst kicking,,,, , but the work out feels good when its over,,,

I only take it twice a week so the other days I work out by practicing my routines, doing 200 practice kicks, 100 crunches, push ups (not to many yet ), and then working out on my weight bench (butterflys, presses, leg presses, curls, triceps, leg lifts, etc. ),,,,,,

I don't do too many reps of each yet, cuz I'm still building my endurance back up, but its a start..... ,

what do you guys do to stay in shape????

I have been studying several Martial Arts for over 6 years now. It is a great break from the routine and helps focus on things at hand and not necessarily the problems from work, home, etc.

Good luck with your training.
