gas, diesel in China ?

goodbye my friends

Mo' deal advice.

Baja,

Carl Burger and Cal Worthington are the typical loss leader, rip off artist type of Dealer. I speak from experience. I even filed a complaint against Carl Burger with DMV. Years ago, I bought mine in Poway and my brother in law bought his special order from Hines in Mission Valley, both good experiences. The other way to go in SD is New Cars Inc. They do fleet deals via local credit unions and can get anything you want. A coworker of mine bought a Charger with them.
Yeah,if you can get a local dealer to cooperate, that's definitely the way to go. Your aforementioned dealers, plus Jack Powell did not or could not afford to match DSM. My DSM deal was $1665 under invoice minus rebates. Jack Powell offered me invoice on an existing '06 but it was not equipped the way I wanted it. The current fuel price fiasco has me wondering if I'll be able to keep a truck that sits six out of seven days. Dodge diesels are one of AAA's most costly rigs to insure. In the event of an accident, the other party invariably loses their vehicle by being totaled or loses their life. Thirdly, replacement intercoolers, radiators etc. are super expensive.

when I bought my '06 they where selling them for $1500 below invoice then you took off further what ever incentives where going on at the moment. If I was to do it again, I would get a phone quote from DS them call a dealership locally and ask for a salesman, tell them you just called DS and want to know if they can match the deal, I bet they will say yes. I think the entire town of kellog is dealership, every spare inch of the town has new cars parked on it, its pretty crazy actually

I'm glad all of you have had good experience w/DSM. I walked out back in 2003 after being given the run around by them. It was bad enough that I drove all the way up from McCall in the snow to buy a truck, but when I told them what I wanted to spend, test drove a truck and then they continually came in over my budget after telling me "oh yeah we can get you into the truck you want for that $" I was so ****** that I ended up leaving and not buying a truck for over a year because I was so soured on the deal or lack of deal.

They weren't all that for me either. Wanted to order my 08 dodge and my wife a grand cherokee, all they wanted to push was what they had on the lot. They finally "qouted" us a price, but would not fax it to me, only verbally offer it. I went and talked to the local dealer, figuring there was no way, and they were just as good price wise as DSM without any threats of buying from somebody else.

When it was all said and done, I told our salesman who is also a friend of mine, about the DSM episode. He told me (I know how car sales guys are) that DSM was getting there trucks for 1000 less than other dealers, and that effective 2008 that was going away. He figured that was why they were pushing the 08's on the lot, and not wanting to order our vehicles (we ordered in January).

That may very well be true. When I bought mine DSM was selling a lot of vehicles.

I bought my '02 from Dave Smith. Got it home to find the A/C wouldn't work. We're talking about a 300 mile round trip and I was a little ticked off.

The salesman appologized like hell and said to get it back to them and they would make up for the trip. While they were fixing the A/C (no biggie) they sent my wife and I over to a local restaurant and bought us lunch. After lunch the truck was waiting for us and he pointed to a gas station and said to fill-up and they'll bill DSM. 25 gallons later we were on are way. I call that service!

Mike

If DSM looks like the way to go for you,I couldn't recommend Les McDaniel enough. My neighbor paid a tad over $28,000 for his '07 ST 5. 9,G-56,A/C,reg. cab. ,4wd,tow and mirrors, cruise, single cd. This was a year ago and he got the personal business discount. I reckon things are tighter now. :)
