So far I hate this POS and thier Tech Stinks big time. I just cant get TC lockup below 4th gear and then it wants to hang locked and in 4th gear and just bogs me down. I guess I just dont understand the TPS settings. I am ready to yank this sucker out and get a PCS

I've heard others complain as well. It doesn't shift ideally, but you might try just reconnecting the stock harness without a programmer. My truck shifts alright without a Baummanator, PCS, Suncoast or any other expensive transmission controller. Simply left it alone. It shifts primarily via the VSS.

I'll probably add a manual switch to lock the converter, though it is locking now. Feels like it is in 3rd gear by 20 mph due to the converter locking and unlocking, shifting sort of firm.

After visiting at BTS, i learned to shift manually most of the time anyway. I may have my computer or a chip reflashed after i have settled on some more mods with the engine. Anyway, you might just try going back to stock and see what it does. Hasn't been bothersome yet in my truck, no bogging.

Go back to Stock what? My truck is a 79 and they didnt have computers back then so the Baummanater is the only thing shifting it.

Hmm. No VSS on your rear axle? You might try Matt Heady. He's done some cool stuff with Ford transmissions like manual valve bodies. How about a manual switch to control torque converter lockup? Is TPS your only input? You might just contact PCS, they really are excellent in product and support. Maybe Brian and Cale can offer some tuning tips.

Yes there is a sensor on the rear axle but it has nothing to do with the shifting of the trans, Infact only reason its in there is to run my Stewart Warner Electronic speedomometer. Brian and Cale are new to this also, They are working on PCS tuning this week and hopefully can figure it out and get some good tuning.
