i think mine is crapping out as the tach bounces on acceleration and the ac dies above about 67 mph, it was starting to screw up before i installed the fluid damper and pretty much kept right on screwing up after but it is getting a little worse now that it is getting hotter

tiz my understanding that the charging system and ac won't work without manual controls, i suspect that the cruise would be dead too as my cruise is screwing up too, on flat ground when the tach is behaving it is fine but it usually scrams going over a overpass, i wonder if you could trigger the sensor with a pair of magnets epoxied to the damper 180* off, i suspect it is possible and maybe worth a try, radio shack has rare earth magnets that are smaller then a aspirin that i used to build a cam sensor for my hotrod bmw, if they will stick to the damper you may be able to test without breaking out the jb weld as these things are stong :-laf

Does anyone know how I can run without this sensor? My damper doesn't have notches. Shadrach

i hit napa and pep boys on the way home and neither had one in stock and both were with in a few bucks of $140, and the ac was cutting out on almost every shift so after striking out at pep boys i popped the hood and yanked on the wire and all of the way home it behaved, must be fixed :-laf

this is what i was talking about on using a couple magnets

that is a shot from my cam sensor build, i drilled a hole about 1/2 the depth of the magnet and jb welded it in
