Want to order a 16 cm exhaust housing for the crew cab HX35. Anyone know if what the part number is? With the pricing I get at the local cummins parts supplier, thought ibwould try ordering through them.

Does Holset even make a 16 non waste gated housing?

Thanks.

Man I love that site!! Thanks for the link! Have never been to the site!

I will lose a few hours there I think. :D

Thanks!

I wonder what the deal is with the '94 1-ton? It shows 240hp w/19 turbine...

Good web site, thanks.

Also makes me wonder how the 1989 and the 1994 show as the same HX35 replacment when the H1C on the 1st gens had a smaller exhaust. So basically by the housing and then you have to change the exhaust. Seems odd.

Are you talking about the exhaust system? If you are, I thought they were the same all the way to '02 than changed in '03?

You fellas are raising the issue I've been fighting. I have one of those WH1E for the "94 -240 hp. It has a wastegated housing and the exhaust outlet is 4". My '92 has a 3" pipe and what makes it more aggravating is, I have an exhaust brake that is 3" also. If I fit a 4" pipe to match the turbo outlet, I lose the exhaust brake, and I haven't been able to find a 3" outlet for the turbo. the Holset page does show a 16 cm non-wastegated housing that is for 3" so I guess i'll go that route. Hate to lose the wastegate though. The 14 cm wastegate housing is more than twice the cost. Jack Dancoe

No, the earlier trucks have a smaller diameter as far as I know. 3" vs I believe 3. 5" I want to say?? Can someone confirm this?

The 16 cm non wastegated hsg is p/n 3521927. Price it out at Cummins or try a Holset dealer as well. See also this page:

1045911 If I'm not mistaken Genos has it.

Welcome abord Hector!

As for the number, is that a Holset/Cummins number or the Genos PN?

As I remember it all the downpipes were the same basic design from 94 to 02,all 3"

94-02 I will agree are the same.

Just have to soo some measuring as I thought there was a change after 93.

Either that or I am losing it (and that is entirely possible!!:D)

1st and 2nd gen turbo outlets are same style couplers and size. Major diff is the down pipe angle. 3rd gen turbo outlets 3. 5" till the 600 series then 4"

The 3rd gen's with the smaller outlets can be retro fitted to the 4'' with just changing out the elbow

Sounds like a history class... .....
